Veena Mallik was in her late sixties but today was bustling in the kitchen like a 20-year old, cooking a variety of dishes. She was up very early this morning and started to prepare a number of dishes. She did not allow any of the maids to cook as she wanted to make it special for her family. Her grandson is returning home after 12 years and she was very excited to see him. Her son Billy wanted to expand their business and hence had to move to London with his wife and son. Veena Mallik visited them for the first few years and then her health did not allow her to travel much. Billy and Ananya visited her every year for 2 weeks. They wanted to take her with them permanently but Veena Mallik always wanted to stay in the Mallik Mansion as it held so many precious memories for her.
