Chapter 3: Revenge vs Love

Chapter 3:
Sitting in the rocking chair Riddhima stared out into the sky from her balcony. It was her favourite task. Sitting and staring at the empty sky which had no stars tonight. Her life was like that, she thought but the only difference was that atleast the sky had a moon to lighten it but her life had no moon to bring light. Her life was filled with darkness everywhere. She closedher eyes taking in the bitter pain of her life but not a single tear fell from her eyes. She had mastered the art of not shedding tears. She had learnt to face every hurdels in her life. She had learnt to swallow all her pains but little did anyone know that she shed invisible tears. No one could see her tears but if they looked inside her heart they would get a heartattack. She had stored every pain inside her. She got up and looked inside her huge well furnished house. Yes it was a house and not a home . not a single sound of happiness echoed from the house. It was alone just like she was in this world. But 10 years back this particular house was filled with laughter just the way her life was a few years back.

It was not that she had deeply fallen with love with him. She knew she had a crush on him. Ofcourse who wouldn’t have on seeing such a prince charming. But never in her wild dreams had she thought that she would get married to him. Her parents were happy with the proposal. He lukd like a greek god. There were chances that he luvd her. Her sister had told her that he was a good person. And totally armaan was a mix of good luks and good persona, then which grl wouldn’t agree for his proposal. And it was nearly impossible in this present world to find a good man with good luks and as her friends stated that the more handsome the man will be the more characterless he would be. But armaan was an exception. She was more than happy to get such a life partner.

Leaving a scared and worried Riddhima behind, Armaan sped his car onto the highway, not having a clue in mind as to where he was heading off to. He wasn't like Riddhima who always knew how to deal with her pain by facing it and then just moving on in her life, for her it was the easiest way out... But in his case, all he could do is run away from the pain...He didn't have the courage to...he just didn't want to delve in the painful memories of his past once again....

It was a dry summer’s evening in mid July. Everything was dark. The lights were off, it was the only the moonlight that lit the room up. All the windows in the house were open, letting the cool wind in, but not much came in, as the atmosphere was quite dry.
