Life Without Her

“Life Without Her”

I open my eyes; it was another jejune day of my monotonous life. I look up at the colourless, black ceiling, and then at the stainless white walls, they were looking dull, but not as dull as my spirit, which has waned drastically in the past few days. I run a fond hand through my stomach and stop at my chest. I could still feel the warmth of her tears, the tenderness of her lips, the quivering of her hands, the pain in her voice when she said “It hurts a lot”, the care in her slap and her silken hair that touched the scars, when I showed it to her. She was a Goddess, which turned a stone like me into a gem, who made me realize how precious I am. Her immortal words still linger in my mind: “You are born to live, don’t live because you’re born. Don’t go the way life takes you, take life the way you go!”

*Sigh*, but I’ve lost her, she’s gone. Oh God! Why do I love her so much?
I throw the thoughts out of my mind as I get up from my bed to change the date.
‘10th December’ – “There is a time for risky love. There is a time for extravagant gestures. There is a time to pour out your affections on one you love. And when the time comes – Seize it, don’t miss it.”

But the time never came in my life…… Or it came but I missed it…….Why did fate play such a merciless and inhumane game on me?
It’s been a month, since I left her, I left her love, I left her trust all broken into infinite pieces that still pierce through her heart.
Even though I try hard, not to miss her, not to think about her, I always fail to do so. She’s so snarled in my soul that I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about her, my day starts with her name and ends with a “Sorry”.

“Hey, you’re awake!” A voice filled the soundless surroundings.
“Yeah” I reply.
“How’re you feeling?”
“What would’ve happened to me?”
“Last night you collapsed at the party”
“Oh, I’m Sorry!” I say, apologetically.
“You should be! You have no idea of how worried everyone was”
“Hmmm…” I say, least interested
“You need rest”
“No I don’t”
“Yes you do”
“No I’m Fine”
“No, you’re not”
“Please!” I plead.
“Okay, go get ready”

After continuously working for 16 hours, I finally give up and decide to go home.
I just love the winters, the breeze that gently blows and makes the stars dance. And on the ground, the endless snow. It covers everything; It looks soft and fluffy as a comforter filled with down, like you can lie right down and pull it over yourself and disappear underneath its soft white folds and dream soft white dreams. And all around the shrunken skeletons of bushes that promise to keep a quiet vigil; the icicles hanging from their arms that promise to keep the soft white cold pinned down around you. ‘It’s really quiet in here’ I say as I enter a strange and unknown street…..I just love walking carelessly on the streets during the rains and winter…..It’s so quiet that if you look straight up ,you can hear the sounds of the universe. The explosions on Jupiter and the storms on Saturn and the thin slivers of mythical ice that you imagine froze harder on Mars. You can hear the crash of meteors and the flares of the sun. I enter another strange, lonely street…..Midway through, it started to snow. It fell in my hair and my face and my eyes and I stopped at the edge of the lake to catch my breath and watched the chill rise in smoky wisps from my lips. I reminiscence how she used to hug me when it always got difficult for her to bear the cold……how sweetly she used to ask me to make my grip tighter. It’s just the memories that are the reason I’m still alive. And now I think this is my time to leave. I touch the scars on my chest that symbolized an “R”. I close my eyes, the background shifted from white to black and it never changed/it never got back to white!

Rex returns frm Lonavla...Abhi asks Maya for a date..Armaan and Ridhima plan to invite their old friends for dinner...

Scene:1

Abhi-Maya

Maya is in her house gettin ready for the date..she is standing near the mirror..wearing a red gown..silver round ear-rings..and hair lying lose on her ears....

Maya: I hope i'm lukin gud !

VOICE: Whr r u off to young lady?

She turns around to find Juhi standing there wid her arms crossed..

Juhi: Well?
Maya: Woh..Juhi aunty main..err...Rex ! haan Rex wapis agaya haina iss liye...
Juhi: Toh?
Maya: Woh..aunty hum sub friends ne party plan ki hai..wahin jarhi hon !
Juhi: Oh..u dun hv to be tht scared..here take this,,(she hands her a red purse) Yeh iss pe suit karegi !
Maya: Oh thnx alot Juhi Aunty ! u're sho shweet !
Juhi: ok nw off u go..its gettin late..try to cum early alrite?
Maya: Ok aunty !
Juhi: Main sone jrhi hon..tum ghar ki keys leke jao ok bye and have fun !

Saying this Juhi leaves..

Maya:( PHEW ) Agar aunty ko batati ke main date pe jarhi hon woh bhi Abhi ke saath toh she would hv killed me ... (her phone rings) Abhi ! (she picks up) Hello !
Abhi: Neeche ajao..i'm w8in !
Maya: Ok..

She goes dwnstairs slowly...opens the door and sees Abhi in his white car..she locks the door slowly and goes and sits inside..

Maya: Hi !
Abhi: Tumne mujhe andar kyun nhe aane dia?
Maya: Iss lie ke aunty bethi thi.
Ab: so? woh mujhe kya krti?
Ma: Abhi? woh humare baare men nhe janti !
Ab: Toh whn r u goin to tell her?
Ma: I've already explained u..i will tell her..but nt nw !
Ab: WHY?
Ma: B'coz it isn't the rite time !
Ab: Thn whn will the rite time cum?
Ma: Soon!
Ab: Man ! whn will this 'soon' cum?
Ma: Abhi ! u want to start our date wid a fight?

Abhi luks at her..her words repeated in his mind..thn he smiles but wid a sad face..

Ab: I'm sorry Maya..but i relle wanna marry u..
Ma: Me too..but trust me this is nt the rite time hmm...try to think over it..
Ab: Hmm...
Ma: Toh ab chalen?
Ab: Ok..

He starts the car and dey leave...

Scene:2
Arm-Rid

Armaan and Ridhima are sitting on the bed planning for the dinner...

Rid: Main abhi Maya ko try karti hon.

She dials her number...

"Sorry the mobile phone u're calling is currently switched off..plz try again later..thank u.."

Rid: Oh God !
Ar: Kya hua?
Ri: Switched off!
Ar: Phir se try karo..

She tries again but the same response..

Rid: Off hai!
Ar: Ab?
Ri: Ab kya?
Ar: Sub log aane wale honge..
Ri: Toh phir?
Ar:I guess Maya ke bagair hi...
Ri: No..main uske ghar try krti hon...(she dials the number and Juhi picks up after 3 bells) Hello Juhi ?
Juhi: Haan bol rhi hon kon?
Ri: Main Ridhima bol rhi hon..Maya hai?
Juhi: Oh tum..kyun Maya se kya kaam hai?
Ri: Mujhe usse baat krni hai..kahan hai woh?
Ju: Tumhari info ke lie bata don ke Maya apne friends ke saath bahir gayi hai..nw plz dun disturb me..(she cuts the line)
Ri: Lekin kaha? hello ! hello Juhi? Shit !
Ar: Kya hua?
Ri: Cut kr dia..
Ar: Oh brother...ab kya karen?
Ri: Maine specially Maya ke lie cake mangaya tha..uske birthday ke lie..
Ar: Choro..we will giv her the gift and cake tmrw!

The bell rings..

Ar: I'll get it..

He opens the door...a beautiful couple standing there wid a baby in hand..

Ar: Hi Rahul .. hey Muskaan !
Rah: hi buddy ! (hugs him) Kaisa hai tu?
Ar: Main theek hon...tum log kaise ho?
Mus: HUm theek hain !
Ar: Oh Rohan ! (he takes the baby) And hw is our champ here? (the baby smiles) Aww isn't he cute...
Rah: Ab andar nhe bulaye ga kya? yahin khare rhe hum?
Ar: Obviously Not ! chalo chalo...

The three of thm enter and Ridhima greets thm...Muskaan and Ridhima hug..

Mus: Kaisi ho Ridz?
Ri: main theek hon..tum kaise ho?
Ra: Hum donon bilkul theek hain...
Ar: Aur humara big boy Rohan bhi theek hai..
Mus: Armaan..he is nt a big boy..only 3 months old...
Ar: Whoops ! he will be a big boy..sum day !
Rah: Yupp !
Rid: Armaan mujhe Rohan do !
Ar: Nhe...Rohan wants to stay wid his uncle..kyun Rohan?
Rohan: Eeehh uwaan...uwaan...(starts to cry)
Rid: See? do mujhe..

She takes the baby...

Rid: Aww...c'mon Rohan..dun cry..masi haina..Sssh...Thts a nice baby..(the baby smiles at her) Aw...isn't he cute? Bilkul Muskaan pe gaya hai..
Ar: Nops iski ankhen Rahul jaisi hain !
Rid: Aur iske lips Muskaan jaise hain !
Ar: Nhe lips Rahul jaise hain !
Rid: Muskaan jaise..
Ar: Rahul jaise..
Rid: Muskaan !
Ar: Rahul !

Ra: Tum donon ladna band karo..yeh hum donon ka beta hai..so yeh hum donon pe gaya hai..dun fight !

Ridhima luks at Armaan and makes a face...

Arm: Dekho dekho..
Ri: Kya dekhon ? haan !
Ar: Aise muh kyun bana rhi ho?
Ri: Main muh bana rhi hon main?
Mus: Phir shuro hogaye...
Ar: Yes tum...
Ri: Armaan tum humesha aise hi karte ho ! Tum na mujhe..Ahh...(she keeps her hand on the stomach) Ahh...

Armaan rushes to her...Rahul and Muskaan get worried..

Ar: Kya hua? Ridhima kya hua?
Rid: Ahh !!

He takes the baby frm her hand and givz it to Muskaan...

Ar: Take it easy...relax..(he brings a glass of water) Yeh lo...drink sum !

She drinks...

Ar: Ab theek ho?
Rid: Hmm...ab theek hon..
Mus: Kya hua Ridz?
Rid: Kuch nhe Muskaan..bas halka sa pain tha !
Ar: Halka sa? u scared me...tumhein doctor ne heavy cheezen uthane se mana kia tha !
Rah: Toh phir tumne Rohan ko kyun uthaya?
Rid: Guys relax..main theek hon ab ! (the bell rings) Lo agaye...

Armaan goes and opens the door...

Scene:3
Abhi-Maya

Abhi has taken Maya to a beach...over there lay a table and two chairs placed face to face in the shade of beautiful white curtains hanging and covering the place like a ceiling .... it has rose flowers and white lillies...Maya luks at Abhi in amazement..he smiles...Music starts to play frm behind..slow and romantic...

Maya: Iss sub ki kya zarorat thi?
Ab: Thi zarorat...chalo..

She keeps her right foot wid Abhi on the red carpet which was lyin on the ground and led the way till the table ... Both of thm went ... Abhi pulled out a chair and she sat on it..thn he went and sat on the chair in front ...

Ab: Kaise laga?
Ma: Its beautiful !

Her eyes sparkled in the shine of the bright moon...stars twinkling as the cool wind blows slowly...he luks at her lovingly...she blushes...

Ab: U're lukin beautiful in this red gown...

Maya blushes...the music starts to go slow again..he asks her for a dance...she agrees..and dey both dance slowly..her hand on his shoulder...she blushes evn harder..wid his eyes on her..she can barely luk at him...

Dil ne tumko...chun lia hai...tum bhi isko..chuno na..
Khuwab koi..dekhta hai..tum bhi sapne buno na..

Dekh lo mosam...kitna sohana hai..

They both go and sit back again..A waiter cums and brings the cake..

Ma: CAKE?
Ab: Yupp ur birthday cake..c'mon c'mon cut it !

She takes the knife ... dey both hold the knife and cut the cake ... Maya takes a piece and makes Abhi eat it..Abhi does the same..after the cake the waiter serves thm the dinner..

Ab: Lets eat?
Ma: Hmm...(she eats silently while he starts to luk at her)

After 5 min Maya luks at him..

Ma: Kya hua? aise kyun dekh rhe ho?
Ab: Kuch nai..
Ma: Toh eat na?
Ab: Bhuk nhe..
Ma: Kyun? u ok na?
Ab: Hmm..
Ma: Toh khao na!
Ab: Tum khilao? (lyk a baby)
Ma: Main?
Ab: Hmm...(nods)
Ma: Alrite..

She takes a spoon of rice and makes him eat it..he eats quietly and lovingly...after the dinner ...

Maya: Abhi its relle getting late..i shuld leave nw..
Ab: Its jaldi?
Ma: Abhi? 2 hrs hogaye hain.. its relle gettin late !
Ab: Maya plz?
Ma: Abhi...i'll catch up wid u later hmm...
Ab: One sec..

They both stand up...

Ma: Hmm?

Abhi goes to her and kisses her gently...

Ab: I love u...
Ma: Gud nite ! (smiles)
Ab: Shall i drop u?
Ma: No..main chali jaon gi..
Ab: Sure?
Ma: Yes baba..bye ! and thnx for the dinner..
Ab: Thnx for cumin... :)
Ma: Gud nite..

She leaves...

Mallik Residence

Atul and Anjali hv cum along wid Tanvi and Nakkul for dinner...After all the hello's and hi's everybody is seated in the living room ...

Rid: So Tanvi and Nakkul ! hru both?
Tan: Fine masi ! Hru?
Rid: I'm gud !
Nak: Muskaan aunty can i hold Rohan for a while?
Mus: Sure ! (she givz him the baby)

Nak: (holding him) Aw..u're such a cute baby..(baby giggles)
Tan: I wanna hold him too...(pulling his chubby cheeks) Aww..Aunty he is soo cute !
Rah: Aj lagta hai humare bete ho nazar lag jaye gi...
Mus: Hehe..sub itna pyar krhe hain !
Anj: Ridzi Maya nhe ayi?
Tan: Maya ane wali thi kya mom?
Anj: Haan !
Tan: Oh..
Rid: woh uska phone nhe lgraha...Tanvi tum log kahin party karne jane wale the kia?
Tan: No Masi !
Rid: Phir Juhi ne kyun kaha ke Maya apne friends ke saath gayi hai?
Ar: I knw why !

Ridhima understands frm his words tht wat could the real reason be...it was becoz she dint wanted Maya to speak wid Ridhima..tht was the reason she made such a lame excuse..

Anj: Forget it Ridzi..chilax hmm?
Rid: Hmm...(wid a sad face)

Arm: C'mon guys lets hv dinner?
Ri: Sure..i'll serve...Tanvi would u lyk to help me?
Tan: Sure aunty..
Nak: I'll also help !

The three of thm head towards the kitchen.

Arm: (to Atul) Nak ladka nhe lagta...he is intrested in girlie activities!
At: He is very helpful..
Anj: Yes..evn whn he is at home he helps me in kitchen work...and the main part is he knws hw to cook !
Mus: Wow...yeh toh bht hi acha hai..kam az kam woh apne uncle's pe nai gaya !
Rah: Oh tera kya matlab hai hum itne gaye guzre hain?
Mus: Aur kya?
Anj: Tum logon khana banana ata hai kya? Mera beta tum logon se atleast acha hai !
Arm: Anjy tum humein insult krhi ho !
Mus: Theek hi toh keh rhi hai...
At: Dekho yar humein Nakkul se zyada..mera matlab hai ladkiyon se zyada acha khana banana ata hai..
Arm: yess...challenge krke dekh lo..
Mus: OH plz...
Anj: Yad nhe last tym challenge kia tha toh tum logon ne khane ke saath saath bartan bhi jala diye the..
Mus: Yes we wont take chance this tym..

Tanvi enters with a big bowl ... she keeps it on the table...her phone wich is kept on the sofa nxt to Anjali rings..."Ranbir" is the name flashing on it...Tanvi luks at Anjali wid a fear on her face...Anjy picks up the phone..

Anj: "hello!"
Rex: (OH SHIT YEH ANJALI MAAM?) hello...kya main Nakkul se baat krsakta hon?
Anj: Kon?
Rex: Jee main Ranbir bol rha hon !
Anj: (luks at Tanvi) Nhe woh busy hai tumhein tym dekh ke call karna chahiye...(hangs up)
Tan: (nervous) Mom..kiska call tha?
Anj: Dr.Ranbir ka...
Tan: Oh..
Arm: Wat was he sayin?
Anj: Usse...(luks at Tanvi) Nakkul se baat krni thi !
Tan: (SIGHS !) Nakkul se..acha...(Anjy luks at her) I mean Acha?
Anj: Haan...(Nakkul enters wid plates in his hand) Nak...Ranbir ne Tanvi ke cell pe call kia tha !
Nak: (luks at Tanvi..a bit scared) Huh? acha?
Anj: Haan...usse tumse baat krni thi !
Nak: Mujhse? oh..er..
Anj: Kyun? woh tumhare phone pe call nhe krsakta tha? usne Tanvi ke cell pe kyun rings kia?
Arm: WOh..Nak ka phone kharab hoga na..issiliye usne ... err..Tanvi ke phone pe call kia..haina Nak?
Nak: Huh...haan ! bilkul bilkul theek uncle..mom mera phone kharab hai..maine hi Rex se kaha tha ke woh Tanvi ke mobile pe call kare agar koi kaam ho usse..
Anj: Oh..ok !
Rid: (easing the situation) The dinner is served..c'mon all...

Everybody helps themselves wid the dinner...after the dinner everybody take leave of AR and thn head towards their homes...

Scene:5

Nakkul's car

Nakkul and Tanvi are goin home together while Anjali and Atul are in another car...

Nak: Usne tumhein phone kyun kia? woh bhi iss waqt?
Tan: Nak..usse kya pata tha ke mom phone uthayengi?
Nak: Aj toh bal bal bach gaye...warna na...
Tan: Hmm...Aj Armaan uncle ne bacha lia..Phew !
Nak: Tum usse kaho ke woh raat ko call na kia kare !
Tan: hmm..
Nak: Be careful nxt tym..
Tan: Hmm..

They reach home and Tanvi head towards her room...after changing into her night suit she lies on her bed...listening to songs...

Tan:(singing along wid the radio) ... Tum pas aye..yun muskuraye...tumne na jane kya sapne dikhaya...na na na na...hmm hmm hmm.. kya karon haye..kuch kuch hota hai...(her phone rings) Hello ! Ranbir? itni der se kyun call kia? main w8 krhi thi...

"Who said tht this is Ranbir?"

Tan: CHRIS? (shocked)
Chris: Yes baby...its Chris..ur Chris !
Tan: Hw dare u call me? Tumhein mera no kisne dia?
Ch: Bas..mil gaya..and u knw wht..i knw everythin abt u...every single thing...babes..
Ta: Dun u dare call me..
Ch: Babes? dun shout..by the way...ur voice is beautiful like ur body..
Ta: CHRIS !!! (shouts)
Ch: Oww...dun shout sweety..makes my ear hurt !
Ta: U knw wht u're mad..crazy...disgusting !
Ch: Thnx alot..my pleasure ! Nw will u sing tht song again for me?
Ta: Wat song?
Ch: U knw..kuch kuch hota hai..kuch kuch hota hai...

Fear rolls dwn her skul...she manages to hold her phone.."Hw did he knw tht i was singing dis song?"

Ta: Hw did ya knw?
Ch: I repeat i knw everythin abt ya !
Ta: U...U..Bastard ! (she hangs up)

Sweat pouring dwn her forehead...she luks at the clock..it says 12:45...

Ta: Chris...SNIFF...haa..(breathing hard) k..kaise? Oh God ! (tears in her eyes) Ma..main kya karon? I..I'm so hopeless...I..(her phone rings again..she picks up angrily) CHRIS U MORON I TOLD U I DUN WANNA TALK TO U !!!

Rex: Chris? Tanvi u fine?
Tan: (OH SHIT !! RANBIR?) Ranbir tum...?
Rex: Haan...nam nhe dekha kya? U ok? aur yeh Chris kahin humare Sanjeevani ka..
Tan: (interupts) Nhe..woh mera ek friend hai...
Rex: Friend? hoo..toh Tanvi jee..main kuch dinon ke lie bahir kya gaya apne friends bana diye ! (playfully)
Tan: Listn Ranbir aisi koi baat nhe..he is just a friend...only friend..dun hv negative thoughts ! (angrily)
Rex: (shocked as well as confused) Kya hua Tanvi? i was just kidding ! u mind it? i'm sorry if u did !
Tan: (feeling sorry) Sorry Ranbir..i guess i over-reacted..m..m sorry ! I just need sum tym off..gud nite..i will catch up wid u later...bye !

She hangs up widout evn hearing he response..

Rex: Hello? Tanvi? u der? usne line cut kardi...whts rong wid u? (he keeps his cell dwn) I can't w8 to talk to ya tmrw..i'll...!


Scene:6

NXT MORNING...SANJEEVANI..

Outside Sanjeevani...

Tanvi parks her car in the parking lot..and is abt to enter whn sumone pulls her towards himself..she bumps into his chest...her hair comes on her face .... he slowly puts thm back of her ear ... she is still confused..as well as blushin a bit..his eyes in her's...she tries to free herself but the grip is to tight..

Tan:Ranbir..mujhe choro..koi dekh lega..
Rex: Dekhne do..i dun care..
Tan: Ranbir..plz..
Rex: Tumne kal raat mere saath acha behave nhe kia..

She remembers her conversation wid Chris..

Rex: Why?
Tan: Ranbir..meri tabiat theek nhe thi..main..
Rex: Main kya?
Tan: Main..
Rex: Tum...main jabse aya hon..tab se dekh raha hon ke tum bht dari dari si ho..kya baat hai?

They both sit in living room…..armaan was getting uncomfortable sitting front of him…….

arm : ahem ahem (coughing ) bhabhi mai basket ko dekh kar aya ….
He almost got up…. When bhai coughed sternly as if indicating him something …..
Arm : oh sorry ! bhaiyaa… I mean sir kya mai basket… I mean riddhima ke room mai jaa saka ho ?
Bhai : (nodded seriously ) yes ….!


He ran out from there to her room …… as he lft bhai n bhabhi startd laughing ……..
He entered her room…….. and got **shock* of his life !... riddhima was sitting on her bed … she dint notice armaan had come !

Arm : basket !! what are you wearing ?!
Rid : dikhta nhi …(annoyed)
Arm : tere western kapde jaal gaye hai kya ?! ki tune aaj India pehna hai ….
Rid : armaaan ! apni bakwaas band kar …..
Arm : (whispering 2 himself) : OoH problem serious hai …. Madam ne mujhe armaan bulaya hai !
[[ ridzi calls ammy « armaaan » …when she is irritated by something « ]]
He comes & sits beside her …..
Arm : soo whatssup !...
Rid : papa wans to speak too mee !..
Arm : tou karlo ….. y is ur mood of such a small reason !
Rid : ammy ! tum jaante hoo…. Baat chootii nhi hai …!
Arm : hum badmai iske bare mai discuss kare ?! party ke late ho rahe hai …. And agar hum iske bare mai baat bhi karenge tou mai jaanta ho tera mood off hojayega ………..
Rid : okay …!
They both got up ……
Arm : by da way u looking hot !
Rid : kabhi zindagi mai soch nhi tha yeh baat mai tumse bhi kahongii …. Lekkin u looking like supercool 2day … (winks )
Arm : achaaa?!…well thanqq …. ( showing his million dollar smile )

It was a big club NEAR THE swimming pool ……. Riddhima followed Armaan into the club and a quick glance around told her the party was in full swing……. The place was packed to say the least…... Even in the dim light, she could make out the variety of colours of the different outfits which everyone supported……….The music had apparantly changed to some slow beats on popular demand and the dance floor was filled with couples dancing arm in arm, lost in the music……..

Armaan looked around..the place seemed pretty decent…...in the dim lighting he could make out that practically all the students had gathered dere....there were so many people!!...

“C'MON LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…!!” THE D.J shouted on the microphone, “I WANT ALL OF YOU ON THE DANCE FLOOR….!”

Armaan looked at Riddhima and then held out his hand ,' May I ?' he asked gently.
ridd: 'Armaaan!!' Riddhima protested 'I don't dance,'
Armaan: (scoffed) 'Oh c'mon!', 'I saw all your kajrare moves on the dance floor at anjy’s b'day party !!'

Riddhima looked horrified…....kajrare moves??!! omigod!! she panicked, had Armaan seen her?? the lighting had been dim and under eveyones encouragement and influence she had decided to dance-for a change..but she really hadn't thought anyone was looking at her..everyone was to themselves...everyone except Armaan, apparently...and bdw I couldn't help it, she defended herself, it's one of my favourite numbers!!......she thought……….!

ridd : That was different,,( blushing crimson at the very thought that Armaan had seen all her 'jhatkas and matkas' on that song.)
arm :And why is that?' Armaan grinned knowing how embarassed and uncomfortable he was making her feel………..

rid :Because..I mean..that was because Rahul, Muskaan and the others forced me!!.... (looking angrily at his grinning face)

[ 'it's not funny!!'...why was he laughing?? she thought, getting all self conscious again..was my dance so funny??]

'Well...OK..today I'm forcing you,' Armaan said firmly and caught hold of her hand……

'Armaan no!!' Riddhima tried freeing her hand from his grasp without making it too obvious to everyone around them but it was hard considering he was about TEN times stronger than her!!...

'C'mon Riddhima...please..' Armaan said, making a puppy face as he looked at her……

Riddhima's heart melted as she saw his face...what was the big deal with one dance??!! the lighting was so dim that no one would even notice..actually even if the lighting was not dim, no one would have noticed!! everyone was too immersed in themselves to even care!! But were is the gang ?!

ridd : O-ok'………..

“cooool” Armaan said smiling deeply and looking at the deep dimples that set in, she couldn't help smiling too……..

Armaan led her to a corner of the dance floor as he knew she probably wouldn't be comfortable dancing in the middle of the dance floor even though he was sure no one would even notice…..but if it made her comfortable then that's what he would do...he was surprised at how suddenly every small thing that he did somehow seemed to revolve around Riddhima and her likes and dislikes...even if it was a small thing such as choosing where to dance on the dance floor!!.......whats wrong with you armaan … no wonder Natasha is angry …….! Mai basket ke baarre aaj kal bahoot soch raha ho ………………….!

They both danced for a while…… soon the gang joined them….. they were soo engrossed in each other that no one had reliased that Natasha & abhi had not come yet ……… Soon all were tired and sat down …… armaan was busy dancing her ex …! Later onn he joined d gang too ……..

Arm : Soo Girls …. Kya baat hai ? sab Indian dress mai ….. tumhari jeans aur skirts jaal gayi thi kya ?!?
All the guys laugh ……..
Niki : shut up armaan !
Anjy : humne socha ki kuch change hojayee ….. .tum logo ki tarah nhi hai ……. U see we make our own fashtion statement ,,,,,,,,
Musk : exactly …… And hum joo bhi pehente hai bahoot ache lagte haii ……….
Rahul : ( looking @ muskaan ) wo tou hai ……..
Muskaan blushed……….
Atul : yaaar sab log hai kaha ??
Aman : mere bhai …. Sab tou yehi hai …. Apni aankhen test karwa lay …..
Atul : tou apni karva …… dekh ABHI aur Natasha nhi aye hai ………….

Armaan & riddhima’s laughter all JUST VANISHED ……………

Aman : oye akal ke andhe wo dekh ABHI !... ( HE POINTED )

Riddhima was getting really nervous …. She was fiddling with her dupatta …..

Abhi : armaan tujhe humare beech mai aane ki zarrorat nhi hai …
Arm : mai jaanta ho ki mujhe kiske beecha mai jaane ki zaroorat hai .. ya nhi !.... aur rahi riddhima ki baat uski khamooshi hi bol rahi hai ……
Abhi : riddhima ……..! whats wrong with you .?
Arm : you are talking as if you dunno anything !!....
Rahul : HOLD on guys ………..!
Anjy : plss …! Don’t fight guys ….!
Niki : what’s wong with you ppl ?! humara group aisa kabhi nhi tha …….
Rid : ( gathered some courage ) abhi…. I will discuss with you about that tomorrow …….!
Abhi nooded ..
Atul : soo are we normal now ?!
Mus : yaaar ridzii ! kaha hai meri sherni ridz ….
Rid : oki baba fyn…..so lets dance !
Arm : abhi tune kaha na tujhe dance nhi karna !
Rid : lekin ab ho raha hai … any problem !
Musk : ye hoi na meri shernii ( pattered her bck )
Abhi : mai abhi aya !
Atul : armaan you are the man .. you are dude …. Now show somme desi attitude !!
Anjy : yeaa ammy lets have some desi thumkas …..

Riddima face turned crimson ….. she was embarrassed @ ammy’s reply …… and had noticed it really well …..

Imagine that Armaan has to go, owing to some unavoidable circumstances, leaving Ridhimaa forever. A very subdued Ridhimaa has come to his house and is helping Armaan to pack his things. The two were not speaking to each other, at least not more than necessary.


Ridhimaa: (quite abruptly) Armaan… ek baat kahun?
Armaan does not look up. He is still searching for his jeans
Armaan: Hmm… tumhe meri black jeans mili kya?
Ridhimaa sighed and held out the jeans.
Armaan: Kuch keh rahi thi tum?
Ridhimaa: Wo main… main… actually mujhe…
She seemed too hesitant and nervous. Armaan looked at her directly.
Ridhimaa: Wo… mujhe… I…
Ridhimaa took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
Ridhimaa: (opening her eyes, words falling out before she could stop them) I love you Armaan!
Armaan froze. Ridhimaa saw him looking stunned and realised that she should not have said it at all.
Ridhimaa: (getting up) Mujhe jaana hai… main baad me aaungi… bye
Armaan held Ridhimaa’s hand. Ridhimaa had been dreading this. Armaan made her sit back on the bed before him. Ridhimaa shook her face, drinking her tears. Armaan knew he had to talk the matter out.
Armaan: (gently) Ridhimaa…
Ridhimaa did not look up.
Armaan: Tum ro rahi ho Ridhimaa?
Ridhimaa: (in a constricted voice) Nahi…
Armaan: Look at me Ridhimaa…
He raised Ridhimaa’s face by placing his hand under her chin. Ridhimaa still did not look at him. Tears started seeping down from her closed eyelids.
Ridhimaa: I’m not crying… OK?
Armaan: (wiping Ridhimaa’s tears with his fingertips) To fir ye kya hai?
Ridhimaa opened her eyes and looked at Armaan for a long time. Each second that passed, was taking Ridhimaa’s every bit of energy to stay composed. But she knew she would have to yield. Both Armaan and Ridhimaa were looking at each other.
Armaan: Ridhimaa…
He could not go on, because the very next second, Ridhimaa pulled Armaan closer and kissed him, full on the lips. Armaan, caught unawares, held Ridhimaa in his arms. Ridhimaa was kissing him passionately, sharing their love, tears still running down her cheeks. She pulled away and gazed into Armaan’s eyes once again, lips moist and eyes burning with desire. Armaan leaned in slowly and his lips reached Ridhimaa’s, kissing her softly and tenderly. When the two broke apart after a few seconds, Ridhimaa engulfed Armaan into a tight hug.
Ridhimaa: (her voice cracking with tears) Mat jao Armaan… please mat jao… don’t go!
She occasionally surfaced, kissed Armaan and then hugged him again, trying to keep him safe with her forever.
Armaan: (hugging Ridhimaa back) Please Ridhimaa… ro mat. Tumhare aansuon se mujhe takleef hoti hai…
Ridhimaa’s hand hit Armaan’s back as she smiled at this statement.
Armaan: Ouch!
The two separated. Ridhimaa was now cursing herself for breaking down before Armaan. Armaan was looking at Ridhimaa cautiously, afraid that she might burst into tears again, any moment.
Armaan: (taking Ridhimaa’s face in his hands) Mujhe bhool jaana Ridhimaa… OK?
Ridhimaa: (looking straight into Armaan’s eyes) Tum mujhe bhool jaoge Armaan?
Armaan looked at her for a moment and then nodded. Ridhimaa kept quiet for a second and then removed Armaan’s hands from her face.
Ridhimaa: Agar main tumse pyar nahi bhi karti na Armaan… to bhi tumhe kabhi bhool nahi paati.
She turned her face away from Armaan, trying to turn her heart and soul away from him too.
Ridhimaa: You don’t love me Armaan!
A silence followed.
Armaan: (suddenly) I don’t love you…
Nothing but the tone of Armaan’s voice could make Ridhimaa look back at him. Armaan was sitting on the edge of his bed, looking at his knees, something watery in his voice. Ridhimaa was startled.
Ridhimaa: (crouching closer, tentatively) Armaan?
Armaan: (now looking at Ridhimaa) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa saw tears sparkling in Armaan’s eyes… her Armaan’s eyes! She came and sat next to him.
Armaan: (two large teardrops rolling down his cheeks) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa: (frantically, tears appearing in her own eyes) Armaan! I’m sorry Armaan…
Armaan did not stop. The words he spoke were paining him to the core of his heart. Still, he was speaking resolutely, repeating the same words, looking as if he was either trying to etch them in his heart and mind forever or was trying to hurt himself as much as he could. Ridhimaa’s tears had broken all barriers, seeing her Armaan in such a state, that too because of her.
Ridhimaa: (taking Armaan’s hands in her hands) I’m sorry Armaan…
Armaan: (trying to shrug her hands off) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa: (desperately, wanting him to stop) Armaan! Please…
Armaan: (locking his teary gaze with Ridhimaa) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa: (her face close to Armaan’s) Armaan! Please! Armaan…
Armaan: (breathing on Ridhimaa’s face) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa: (getting lost in his watery, bright blue dazzling eyes) Armaan…
Armaan: (placing his hands at Ridhimaa’s waist, the right one at her back, pulling her in) I don’t love you…
Ridhimaa was jammed to his chest. Both could hear each other’s heartbeats well.
Ridhimaa: (looking up at Armaan) Armaan!
Her voice was no more than a soft whisper. Armaan’s tears fell on her face and mingled with her own.
Armaan: (wrapping his arms around Ridhimaa more tightly, their bodies pressing together, soul to soul) I don’t love…
But he could not speak. Their faces were too close to each other; hearts beating madly, nothing else mattered. The two pairs of tender lips met, the kiss lasting forever, to remain etched in their memories for the days of parting to come.
Armaan: (voice trailing over the chasms of time, falling in love all over again) I love you Ridhimaa… I love you!

(A girls Voice): Hello..
Er: Um.. Hello. Ji Kia main Salman se baat karsakhti hoon.

Er: (a lil taken aback) Kyun?

GV: Kyunki main kehrahi hoon?

Er: Right.. Jaha tak mera khayal hai yeah number Salman ka hai. Main Salman se baat karna chahti hoon. Toh AAPKE kuch kehne se kuch farq nahi padhta. So Y dont u do ma a favor doll.. Give the phone to Salman..

Er: (Embarrased as hell) TUM??!?!? Riza badmaash. Tumhe aur tumhare bhai ko mujhe tang karne main bohut mazaa aata hai na?

Ri: Thats better.

Er: God Salman. Phone call chodo tumne mujhe ek sms bhi nahi kia. Tumhe pata hai main kitna darr gayi thi?

Sa: I am really very sorry..Lekin Mujhe maa se baat karni hai Hamare baare main. Isiliye main pehle usne baat karlo phir tumse baat karonga. I am really scared.. Pata nahi Maa kaise react karegi. I mean I have support system.

Sa: But Still. Yaha meri Boa aayi hui hai Jo meri shaadi jald se jald karvana chahti hai. I have no clue Ermeena. ..Err.. Ermeena.. Are u lsng?

Er: Huh.. Haan. Tum mere baare main Apni mom ko bataoge? Woh kia kahenge? Kia main unhe pasand aaongi? Salman.. Tum paagal ho

Sa: Main paagal hoon... Kyun?

Er: Pata nahi!!

Sa: Ermeena.. Relax.. I will sort everything out here. Tum bilkul bhi fikr mat karo. I promise. Ke mai Acchi khabar leker hi Aaonga.. Pakka wadda..

Er: All the best..Aur haan..

Sa: Kia..

Er: Main tumse bohut pyaar karti hoon..

They both fell silent.. Salman knew that she is really scared. He could feel her heartbeats.

He could imagine her Cheeks turning red and warm..

Sa: I love you..

She disconnected the call.. Salman could just smile..

Oh dear lord.. I love her so much...

Riza felt so happy for her brother.. He was madly in love the the perfect girll. Aww.. Its a fairytale..

But Every Fairytale has a wicked witch.. Sonya was as usual keeping an eye on Salman and Riza and she overheard the whole conversation including the "I love you". Her Royal Future was in major trouble she has to do something and fast.

She rushed to her mother and told her about the whole Situation.

Her Mother, Salman's Boa decided that its time.

Scene 3: Train.

Shilpa is Sitting and playing with the locket her mother gave her. The Train is at a stop and They were all set to leave for the next stop. Karan noticed the little sadness on her face. And thought of getting something for her to eat.

Ok..Usse chatpati chezze bohut pasand hai.
Kia Loon.. Haii. Yeah pakode ke khusboo kaha se arahi hai..

Ka: Bhaiye. Yeah Pakode Fresh and completely Hygenic hai na?

Bha: Arey beta? Kia bol rahe ho? Hamari samjh main kuch nahi aaraha hai? Hamari English zaraa kamzoor hai

Ka: Abey ab main inko Hygiene pe lecture doon?


The train was about to leave.
Shilpa noticed the Karan is not here.. She got a little worried..

She looked around and he was nowhere in sight
She picked up her cell phone and tried calling him. She heard the Karan's cell ringing ..

Sh: Oh no.. He left his phone her.. Ab main ussen kaha se dhoondo?

FOUND HIM!!!

Sh: Karan!! (She screamed)
But Karan was busy with the Bhaiya..

soo the story goes onn...

Ammy looked around as they were dancing..and saw everyone lost in each other...."no body will disturb us!" he thought.........he took ridz's hand and pulled her....

Ammy(wispering):chalo!
Ridz(softly): kahan???
Ammy: chalo na!!!!!

He pulled her till they reached the terrace....and said" Phew!"

Ridz:mujhe yahan kyun leke aaye??
Ammy: com'on Basket.....tumhare saath kuch akele time spend karna tha....
Ridz: o accha.
Ammy : tell me....tumhe yeh ring kaisa laga???
Ridz: bohot khoobsurat hai armaan..par tumne itna mehnga ring.....
Ammy: arrey yeh toh kuch bhi nahi!!! tumhare liye kuch bhi!!!! (held her hands and kissed it gently)Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart......
Ridz : Happy Valentine's Day..par Armaan main toh tumhare liye toh kuch nahi layi....Papa ke darr se......
Ammy:Nahi..tumne mere liye ek bohot acchi mithai layi ho...kiss!!!

She blushed then looked up...She saw Armaan smiling mischieviesly......

Ridz: aaj na nahi kahungi.......
Ammy(vvvvv happy) : really????
Ridz: haan kab tak tumhe rokti rahungi....

They came closer and closer till they could hear each other breathing.......she grabbed his shirt tightly as he put his hand around her waist.. and they were lost......still breathing..their hearts beating fast......their foreheads touched..and they smiled.....ARMAAN FEEL RIDHIMA SHAKING..

AMMY:U OK!!!
RIDZ{NOT LOKING IN HIS EYES}:HMM
AMMY:BASKET KYA HUA..{LIFTING HER FACE UP }
RIDZ:KUCH NAHI..
AMMY:ITS OKK BASKET I UNDERSTAND..

They go down...all return home.....everyone v happy...In Ridz's house...
Ridz is continuously smiling and looking at the ring......and blushing...seeing this....

Anjie:Ridzi!!!!!!Sab ko pata hai ki Armaan ne tujhe propose kiya.....ab sharmana bandh kar!!!!!!!!!
Ridz: Di usske elava bhi bohot kuch hua hai aaj...
Anjie : what?kya? kya?kya?did u two...

Ridz nodded slightly and blushed...

Anjie: Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!you kissed him!!!!!!!!!!!really????????
Ridz(blushing like hell):hmmmm ACTULLY NAHI..
Anjie:MATLAB????
RIDZ TELL HER THE WHOLE THING..
ANJIE: wow yaar meri cute si choti behen bari ho gayi!!!!!!!!!!!!!


The next day saw sad faces coming up....Armaan had to go for a conference in Paris..that too for 1 week!!!!!!!!The interns had found out suddenly and were very sad...especially Riddhima.........In the airport........Ammy hugged Atul,Anjie,Muskaan,Rahul and Nikki....while Riddhima sat on the bench..her face turned away...
Ammy(bending down to Ridz):hmmmm....Basket.....apne Basketball ko bye nahi kahogi?(Ridz does not reply)Ok....Riddhima....Bye....I'll miss you sweetheart.....(Ridz still does not reply!)Riddhima..I said bye...plzzz yaar mujhse baat toh karo!

Ridz suddenly hugged Ammy.....

Ridz: wada karo mail karoge?
Ammy: har din chat karunga...ok?
Ridz: promise?
Ammy: Promise!!!
Ridz ar kitne baaje?
Ammy(releasing himself from the hug)abhi toh pata nahi...par guys agar tumlog bhi mere saath chat karna chahte hoo..toh main Anjie ko time sms kar dunga...and she'll tell you.....
Nikki: we'll miss you yaa..........
Atul:haan yaar tere bina Sanjeevani kitna suna suna lagega!
Ammy: I'll miss you too guys.........aur Anjie....Mere amanath ka khayaal rakhna.....jaan hai meri(he means Riddhima)...
Anjie: okk..........Bye yaar.....
Ammy: bye guys.....Bye Basket...
Ridz: apna khayal rakhna Armaan..aur mail karna!
Ammy: haan!

They returned to Sanjeevani......finished their duties......at Ridz's home......Anjie gets a sms from Ammy.....

Anjie,tell Riddhima ki main thik thak pohonch gaya hoon...aur abhi main net pe baith raha hoon toh usse chat karne ke liye baithne bolo...

1 week was not easy for the interns to bear.....That too without Armaan....but days passed...they just had chatsand phone talks.....atlast the last day of their wait came...Ammy was coming back the day after.......
Riddhima called him...

Ammy:hello?
Ridz: Hi Armaan!
Ammy: Hi jaan.....bas ek din baad main wapas aa raha hoon....
Ridz:janti hoon..issliye toh call kiya..woh mujhe apna flight name and no. batao,Rahul jayega tumhe pick karne...
Ammy:kyun?tum nahi.....
Ridz: sorry kya karu....kal 24 hr. duty hai....
Ammy: aacha baba no problem...likho......F703,Kingfisher Airlines,From Paris to Mumbai....thik hai...
Ridz: hmm....ok.......

She left the phone...but she had already memorised the name & no. of the flight........The next Day.....At Break inSanjeevani......She went to home to change her clothes....and found out that it was also the time for Ammy's flight to land....and that too Shashank had given her a half day......Shashank comes in...

Sh: hello Riddhima
Ridz: Hi papa....
Sh: beta chalo TV dekhte hai.....
Ridz: ok papa..kya lagau?
Sh: news..
Ridz: ok....

She turns on the news channel....an Important announcement is going on.....
"Abhi Abhi Khabar milli hai....ke Mumbai airport pe ek flight crash hua hai...flight no .hai..'F703,Kingfisher Airlines' jo Paris se mumbai tak aane wali thi....bohot jan seriously injured hai..aur kuch....mar chuke hai...."Riddhima starts panicking...

Ridz: papa.....iss flight mein Armaan aane wala tha...
Sh: kya? Armaan?

Suddenly,Ridz's phone rings......Its Rahul's call.....

Rahul: Riddhima,jaldi Sanjeevani aa jayeye..Armaan is seriously injured..............

Riddhima shocked..........................----------------------------------------------------------

Riddhima,Anjali and Shashank rushed to Sanjeevani.......when they reached the ICU,they saw Rahul seated on the sofa opposite to the ward.......Riddhima was gasping for breath...her heartbeats had increased......she had never felt so tensed in her whole life.....

Ridz:Rahul...Armaan?

Rahul slowly pointed to the ICU,they turned towards it,and saw Armaan laid down on the bed.....Riddhima couldn't hold her tears back....They came streaming down her cheeks......

Anjie: Rahul,what happend?
Rahul: when the plane crash took place I was there....main dorh ke gaya wahan,police ne mujhe notice nahi kiya....Armaan ki saase chal rahi thi,he was concious,I rushed him here..and the last thing I heard him saying was "I'm sorry Riddhima"...and then Dr.Keerti took him to the ICU,he was in a very critical condition..in a dying state.....and then I called Riddhima.

Everybody had got the news..and had rushed there....when they asked what had happened..Rahul told them everything.......They sat on the bench consoling Riddhima...who tears had increased.....After a while,Dr.Keerti came out....Everyone sprang to their feet..

Atul: mam,Armaan thik toh hai na?
Nikki: Is it very serious?
Muski: mam woh kaisa hai?
Keerti: Interns!Mujhe bolne dijiye(turning to Ridz)I'm really sorry Dr.Riddhima,but we tried our best.....don't worry,he's still alive but...but...
he's slipped into koma....
Ridz: k-k-koma!!!Dr.Keerti,kya koi rasta nahi?
Keerti: I tried Riddhima,par ab jo hoga woh toh bas Bhagwaan ke haat mein hai......
Anjie:Guys,lets not tell Naina Di abt it...woh abhi Delhi gayi hai.....jab tak woh wapas ayegi tab tak shayad sab thik ho jayega....
A Voice from behind:mujhe batane ki koi zarurat nahi hai Anjali,main already jaan chuki hoon...

They turn back to see Naina standing......Riddhima goes and hugs her.....

Ridz: Naina Di..woh Armaan..woh thik to ho jayega na?
Naina: tum chinta mat karo Riddhima...woh bilkul thik ho jayega...

Everyone paced around the ICU...tensed...while Riddhima went and sat beside Armaan..his hand was turned at the palm side.....she clutched it and softly said...

Ridz: main intezaar karungi Armaan..ki tum kab mera yeh haath thamo ge......

She put her hand beside Armaan and didn't even know when her eyes closed to sleep...
The next morning came with a new ray of hope.........Naina had called some specialists from Delhi to look after Armaan's case.......Riddhima was not allowed to wander near his ward......She had to take her breakfast,refresh herself and do her duty...she hesitated...but When Keerti said Armaan would be fine.....She agreed.....

Dr.Mehra(1st specialist) : hmmm.....Dr.Keerti hume jald se jald Armaan ka blood test karwana hoga....dekne ke liye if his blood is circulating well...kyunki woh abhi tak koma se bahar nahi hai
Keerti : ok sir.....I'll be back.....

Naina was standing outside.....her eyes filling up with tears....she had never expected her brother to be in such a state.....she had last seen their mom in this state.....after which she left them alone forever........

Naina:Main tujhe kuch nahi hone dungi Ammy....Tujhe kuch nahi hoga.......
tu mujhe akela chod ke nahi jaa sakta.....plz aisa mat karna.....tere elava mera iss duniya mein koi nahi hai.........
Naina felt someone's arm on her shoulder...

she turned to see it was Nikkita's....

Nikki: Jiss bhai ka aisi Di ho....usse khabhi kuch nahi ho sakta...

Meanwhile,everyone in the hospital is praying for Armaan to get well soon......
Riddhima especially....
SHE TAKES OUT A BOOK FROM HER PURSE...
AND OPEN IT..
