Scene 1: Asma Home: Asma and her Baba

Asma is staring out the window of her room with her hands folded.. her face seems to have lost all life .. she is gazing at the dark night.. how symbolic !! her life at present could be described the same... a pitch dark night... Nik had gone... he had ended their relationship...she felt so empty and lifeless.. this was never her dream... her dream was to have Nik in it sharing her vision ,understanding her goals... had she asked too much out of him..?? she just couldnt shake finality of his words when he spoke to her...tears are slowly falling from her eyes...minutes pass as she keeps staring out. oblivious to her baba coming in...he calls her once..twice...when she doesnt respond , he goes up to her and calls out again... she immediately turns and wipes her tears...

B: " Kangan beta.. kya hua? ..koi problem hai... Nikhil se koi jhagada hua hai ??

A:" Nahi baba.. mein theek hoon.."( voice now so nasal coz of constant crying..)

B: " Ab apne baba se chupaogi"( patting her hair)

Her baba's sweet caring voice was the last straw .. she completely breaks down and hugs her baba... in between her sniffs and hic-cups she manages to tell him everything...with a heavy heart and pain starined voice she tells him that thier relationship was over...after listening to all she has to say, he takes Kangan's hand and leads her to the sofa and gets her glass of water...regaining her some what camposure back, she relaxes when her baba speaks up...


B: " Kangan beta.. tumhe kya lagta hai ke jo khuch bhi Nikhil ne kaha... kya uss mein sachai thi...??

A: Baba.. aap yeh kaise keh sakte hai... aap jaante hei ke meri padai kya myne rakhti hai... aur maine Niks ko samjhaya bhi tha..."


B: " kangan... meri baat dhyaan se suno...mein yeh nahi keh raha ki tum galat ho ya Nikhil theek hai...mein yeh keh raha hoon ki koi toh hai jo ek dusere ko samajh ne mein bhool kar raha hai..tum apni jagah sahi hoon aur Nikhil apni jagah...Uska kehna ki woh tumhe dheere dheere kho raha hai..kisi hadh tak sahi bhi hai beta...mujhe galt mat samjho (moment she is about to speak) mujhe tumpe naaz hai ke tum apni zindagi ko leke itni zimedaar ho.. par Nikhil ke liye tum he sab kuch ho.. aur usse lagta hai ke tum apni padai mein ulajh kar reh gayi ho... kangan ..jitna tum apne research pe dhyaan deti ho...utna dhyaan apne rishtey ko bhi deti toh baat yahan tak pohochti he nahi..."Nikhil ne kabhi tumhe padhne se ya research karne se manna kiya...??( looks at her, and when she shakes her head ..he says) nahi na..bas tumne balance nahi kiya...tum badi ho gayi ho, thoda samjho ... mein jaanta hoon ke tum apni ma ka sapna pura karna chahti ho.. par apne rishtey par usse haavi mat hone do..apne rishtey ko ehmiyat do..( pases and looks at her). abhi bhi kuch bigada nahi hai,,,

Asma listens to all what he saying...somewhere deep down its making sense .. but she fears that things have turned so sour that its seems impossible to undo the damage...

B:( continues) "usse thoda waqt do... woh tumse bohot pyaar karta hai...abhi naraaz hai aur shayad tum dono agar thode din alag raho toh iss rishtey ki ahmiyat ko aur samajh pao.." Nikhil samajhdaar ladka hai... bas thoda jazbaati hai...kuch din tak usse akela chod do.. aur phir jaake itminaan se baatein karo aur apne rishtey ko theek karo...sab theek ho jayega.. ( smiles at her)

Her baba made things so easy and uncomplicated...the insight he has in relationship was amazing... wish she had talked to him before.. .. she knew Niks and his temprament...he was pissed and hurt...she would have to really work hard this time...

Just then her masi comes in and seeing Asma and her puffy swollen eyes...she is quick to retort...

Masi: " Dekha jeejaji... meine kahan tha na.. yeh ladka koi kaam ka nahi hai.. rula diya na, Kangan ko..meri baat mano, woh U.S waala ladka abhi bhi intezaar kar raha hai.. aap bolo toh mein baat aage badau..???

Asma is about to answer back but baba holds her back through his eyes, imploring her to leave masi and her talks..Asma takes a deep breath and walks out of the room still with all her baba's talk playing in her mind...her heart wants to beleive all what her baba has said but head says that Nihkil will not easily come around... she is in a damn confused state..but nevertheless the talk with her baba has shown her a way to approach the situation....

Scene 2: Garewal House : Muskaan and Rahul.

Muskaan is pacing in her living room.. she is edgy, fidgety and very restless..she is uneasy and realises that the cause is Rahul... he hasnt called ... its been 2 days since his last call ..she is not happy and is trying to blow off steam by talking to herself...she pats her huge tummy and goes on cribbing...she hates that she cant even see her feet now , her big beach ball shape like tummy is obstructing the view.. and again her mind goes on to Rahul...why hadnt he called??...she sits down with a sigh and is thinking when a long distance call rings on her landline.." Rahul" she speaks up softly and gets het fat , impossible body to move and pick the phone..


M:" hello'...

R:" Mus... Muskaan....meri awaaz aa rahi hai na.. : kaisi hai tu"

M:"Baat mat kar mujhse... do din !.. do din hogaye.. ab phone kar raha hai.." gadha kahin ka"

R:"Muskaan !..(happy that she has missed him...even if she wont say).. mera baby kaisa hai .. !

M: '" ( making a face)..theek hai... par tune phone kyo nahi kiya....??

R:" Muskaan( saying her name gently reminding her why he came out here) didi ke baare mein nahi puchogi"

M:" oh.. sorry...kaisi hai woh rahul...? woh theek toh hai...?

R:" Well .. unka chemo shuru ho gaya hai...admitted hai.. lets see.."

M:"ok... ( pauses for a min)..acha ab tu bata ke tu wapaas kab aa raha hai..? mujhe kuch acha nahi lagta hai...!

R:"mujhe miss karti hai toh bolti kyo nahi..."( smilingly as he knows she wont say ... stubborn jo hai..)

M:" ( knowing he is right..) abey chup bandar ! yeh sab chod... pehle bata kab aa raha hai..."

R:" bandar ! gadha !.. agar hum janwaaro ke baare mein he baat karte rehenge toh mein toh lut jaunga... long distance call hai Muskaan...( pleading now)

M:"theek hai !theek hai !..( making teere medhe faces)...tune bataya nahi..."

R:"Muskaan...abhi kuch din aur lag sakte hai...jo chemo shuru ki hai , uske results abhi aane hai.. aur didi thodi depressed rehti hai... tu samajh rahi hai na...?

M: kya Rahul .. aur thode din..."

And suddenly the line went dead.. she miserably looks at the phone and keeps it back.. she plops on the sofa resting her head against the cushion..she getts all teary and misses Rahul and his over indulgence of pampering... why is that when the person u get so mad at is the one person you cannot do without when he is away... she wants him back...all emotional she closes her eyes when there is a message tone beep ..she looks at her mobile and reads the message... there is an immediate twinkle back in her eyes on reading the message.." jaldi aane ki koshsh karunga..." love you.."

Scene 3: Atul and Anjali

Anjali is looking for some of her old papers that she might need, and also renew now that she would be leaving soon. As she does she chances upon an old CD that they had made when they had just decided to get married. It was actually Atul’s idea that he wanted to capture the most beautiful moments of their life since they had decided to be together…

Prior to marriage, it was either Armaan or Riddhima who did some bits of the shooting, after it, they had even shot some together…. Feeling a little nostalgic, she goes upto the tv and inserts the cd in the driver and turns it on and sits with it a cushion in her hand on the sofa and starts watching…

Their first official date:

Locker room:

Atul: Aaj main bahut khush hoon, Maine aaj Anjali ke liye Orchid ka plant mangwaaya hai… apne date pe main use yehi doonga… I am so excited….. Yaar Armaan.. main theek toh lag raha hoon na yaar ( peeping out of focus)

A: CHAMP…ye tu kya kar raha hai…. Camera main dekh….

Anjali is walking in after her work…

At: Anjali tum, abhi tak tayar nahi hui? Yaad haina hume date pe jaana tha…

An: mujhe yaad hai Atul…. Gimme five minutes… main abhi tayar hoke aati hoon….

Armaan: reporter Riddhima, Andar she cover karenge… paanch minute ke changing break ke bad.. over to you Riddhima…

R: Di, aapko kaisa lag raha hai ?

An: I dunno… I am nervous Ridzi, pata nahi, Atul aur main… I hope main use hurt ya disappoint na karoon u know… he is so sweet and adorable….

R: Aap ka dress toh bada sundar hai di…

At: wo Atul ka favorite color hai.. I thought id wear something he likes you know…. ( smiling)

Atul also has walked in, also as she is watching this and has settled down sitting and recollecting the whole scenario…

Both however remember two different things…

At: Main Anjali ko kitna khush rakhna chahta tha.. lekin main uske liye wo hum safar kabhi nahi ban paya jise wo chahti thi…

An: Kitna pyar karta the Atul Mujhse…. Aur kitni adjustments ki hai usne mere liye.. aur main? Chaho jitna bhi kosish kar loon… main kabhi usse ek level ke baad relate hi nahi kar paayi….

Both of them think together : Lekin Pyar toh hum bahut karte hai ek doosre se….

They both remember that day when Anjali had finally said yes to Atul….

Anjali had had, a minor accident and she couldn’t do her work, Atul had done all the work for her, sitting day and night, balancing it out with his own duty, also in the process falling sick himself only because her assignment had to be completed on time. When it came to submitting it to Keerthi, he had told her that Anjali had done everything and that was also one of the reasons that were instrumental in adding to the good records of Anjali. If she was an incharge today at some level it was thanks to Atul’s help and cooperation… Anjali had started to feel guilty, that couldn’t love him back, when he was so selflessly in love with her…..

Finally one day, when she had questioned him…. “ Kyun kar rahe ho Atul tum ye sab?

At: Anjali tum toh jaanti hi ho, fir bhi pooch rahi hi, main tumse bahut pyar karta hoon Anjali…

An: Lekin… main…

At: Jaanta hoon… lekin wo kya haina Anjali.. main tumhare ilaava kisi aur ke bare main soch bhi nahi paata … pata hai kal tumse phone pe baat karte karte main Alisha ko paani daalna bhool gaya… kitni roothi thi bechaari.. lekin fir maine use mana liye.. lekin tumhara phone bhi toh nahi rakh sakta than a…

Finally shocked.. and also moved… she says… “ Mujhe thoda waqt chahiye…

At:kkkkyaa… tttumm… kyya,,,

Smiling… Atul mujhe thoda waqt chahiye…. Humare bare main sochne ke liye…

Atul cant believe his ears… “ yyyou… mmmeaan… ttum aaauuur maaain.. oh my god! Mujhe paseene choot rahe hai…. Baat nahi nikal rahi hasi ke mare…. Tum humaare bare main sochogi Anjali….???”

He is so happy out of excitement he hugs her and runs away leaving Anjali wonder amused as well as surprised….

That night, Anjali had thought so much, that finally she had called Armaan and Riddhima for help… both of them were very positive about the fact that there could be no one who would love Anjali more than Atul… but that’s not the answer she had been looking for… she also knew he loved her to bits.. what she wants was an answer to her mind that was at unrest… Finally when she had weighed the pro’s and cons and had thought about all that she had expected and wanted from life she had realized no one at that point of time, could be better than Atul. She decides she would go for him and thinks “ may be maine ab tak iss bare main nahi socha hai… lekin agar sochne lagoon toh shayad……”

And now back in the present… both of them now look at each other as both of them remember all of this.. with tears in their eyes…. There is so much silence around with the CD player now turned off… They recollect a lot of little other small incidents in their life…

-Atul trying hard to adjust to her tastes…
-Anjali trying hard to be less dominating….
-the birth of Angel…
-their family holidays…
-the recent mess about the Sanjeevani head ….
-her applying to UN in an haste…
-Atul getting to know about it…
-their talk at the resort…
-her finally telling him she was going off….

And BANG! Now! Back in the present! Where suddenly both their hearts felt so heavy.. as though they were trying real hard to get rid of some burden they had been carrying… as though even saying something wouldn’t do the needful…. Taking a deep breath Anjali finally speaks…

An: I really Love you Atul, you know I don’t you…
At: Mujhe pata hai Anjali….. ( very intensely)
An: Atul Main….. ( she opens her mouth, with tears rolling out of her eyes….)

He bends forward to kiss her gently on her lips, as she holds onto to his face and kisses him back……

For days together they hadn’t spoken, but today, when they knew, one of them had to let go, it was emotions that did their and put all their queries to rest…..

4: Garewal house

Muskaan's house

The phone rings and Muskaan emerges from the kitchen, rushing to pick it up … that is, rushing as much as her bulk will allow. It's again been two whole days since Rahul called and she herself is surprised at how much she is missing him!
Mu (calls out to the phone, as though it can hear her!): aa rahi hun …!!! Khote, pehle do din phone karta nahin, aur phir tabhi karta hai jab main kitchen mein ghusi hun … ruk jaa!!!

She picks up the phone – it's Riddhima.
Rid: Hi, Muskaan … kya haal hai?
Mus (disappointed): Oh … hi, Ridzi … theek hun …
Rid (teasing her): Oh ho!!! Meri awaaz sunke khush nahin hai … lagta hai kisi aur ke phone ka intezar tha … kyun?
Mus (embarrassed at being caught missing her husband): Nahin, Ridzi … bas, thoda akela lag raha hai na … ek hafte se zyaada ho gaya Rahul ko gaye …
Ab aadat nahin rahi uske bina …

Rid (teasing her again): haan, haan, main jo roz aati hun tujhe milne, uska koi fayda nahin hai … tujhe to Rahul hi chahiye … sorry, Muskaan, lekin samajh le ki main Rahul ke orders par hi aa rahi hun, to tujhe mere se kaam chalana hoga! Rahul ne mujhe instructions diye the ki main tujhe roz check karun … to main paanch minute mein aa rahi hun … I'm on the way!

Muskaan cheers up, but remembers – today is Diwali …
Mus: Ridzi, tu aaj kyun aa rahi hai … aaj to Diwali hai … Armaan tera intezar kar raha hoga …
Rid (cheerfully): haan, kar raha hai … main kahan tere ghar baithne vaali hun? Tujhe pick up karne aa rahi hun … tune kya socha, hum tujhe Diwali pe akele rehne denge? Tu tayyar rehna … theek hai? Tu hamare saath ghar aa rahi hai – hum sab saath mein Diwali manayenge!

Muskaan puts down the phone feeling far happier – being alone on Diwali had really been getting her down. She goes to get ready. She feels a small twinge of pain in her back and frowns – the twinges have been coming since the afternoon.

Riddhima arrives in five minutes, but when she comes in, she's not looking as happy as she was sounding on the phone. Muskaan looks questioningly at her.
Rid: Meri stupid gaadi … shayad garam ho gayi hai … aate aate ruk gayi. Thank god main yahan tak pahunch gayi … lekin vapas jaane ke liye humein taxi bulani padegi, Muskaan. Armaan ka phone bhi nahin lag raha … usko bolun ki humein aakar pick up kar le … (she tries his phone again as she speaks, then looks at Muskaan and shakes her head.)

Muskaan starts to answer her, then gives a gasp as the twinge of pain comes again, much stronger this time. Riddhima looks at her in alarm and comes to her quickly.

Rid (urgently): Muskaan! Muskaan! Tu theek hai? kya hua?
Muskaan clutches hold of the sofa edge as she tries to recover. Riddhima feels her stomach and looks alarmed.
She helps Muskaan lie down. Within a couple of minutes, Muskaan gasps again and Riddhima feels her stomach again and looks very worried.
Rid: Yeh pains kab se ho rahe hain, Muskaan?
Mus (gasps out): dopahar se … maine socha … pet thoda kharab tha … lekin ab kuch zyaada hi ho rahe hain, Ridzi.

Rid: Stupid … doctor hai aur itna nahin samjhi … contractions ho rahi hain, Muskaan! I think you're in labour!
Mus (looks very worried): Ridzi … abhi to 8th month chal raha hai …
Rid: Kitne weeks? (she calculates quickly then looks at Muskaan worried …)

Rid: Muskaan, humein Sanjeevani jaldi chalna chahiye … agar contractions jyada strong ho gaye to … premature delivery ho sakti hai … it's only 34 weeks, it's too early …
Muskaan nods, looking equally tense. Riddhima calls for a taxi, she tries again and again then looks at Muskaan in frustration. It's Diwali and there are just no taxis available. She tries Armaan's number again … it's still not connecting … and then turns to check on Muskaan. Muskaan's pains seem to be coming much more frequently and now both of them are very tense.
Rid: Hum chalna shuru karte hain … shayad raaste mein koi taxi mil jaaye … ok? Chal, dekhte hain … Bahar zaroor mil jayegi.
Mus: Ridzi, yahan se paanch minute door taxi stand hai. Vahan chalte hain, vahan shayad koi ho.

But there are no taxis on the road or at the stand – it's evening, nearing the time for pooja, and the streets are deserted. As they walk, every few minutes Muskaan has to stop because of the pains and Riddhima gets more and more worried. She spots a sign on a house and stops.

Scene 5: Clinic

Rid: Muskaan, yeh kisi ka clinic hai … we'd better go in here.
She helps Muskaan inside – there is a no one there except an orderly. He tells them that the doctor is getting ready for pooja in her house upstairs and can't be called.
Rid (patiently): dekhiye, emergency hai … aap unko bula dijiye … hum dono doctor hain, aur inko premature labour pains ho rahe hain …
A voice speaks from the stairs : kaun hai?
There is a lady standing there … she is dressed up for Diwali and is looking most annoyed.
Rid: Ma'am, we're sorry to disturb your pooja … main Dr. Riddhima hun aur yeh Dr. Muskaan … hum Sanjeevani mein doctors hain aur inhe premature pains ho rahe hain … koi taxi bhi nahin mil rahi to take her to hospital …
Lady (in a completely unhelpful tone): well, doctor, I'm sorry, lekin yeh sirf ek chota clinic hai aur mere paas yahan delivery ki koi facilities nahin hai … aapko kahin aur jaana hoga …
Muskaan gives a gasp of pain again and looks at Riddhima.
Mus: Ridzi .. pain jyada ho raha hai … bahut jyada … owww …
She sits down suddenly as though she cannot stand any more. Riddhima turns to the lady pleadingly.
Rid: Please, doctor … hum inhe kahin nahin le jaa sakte … main inhe zara examine kar lun?
The lady nods unwillingly and allows Riddhima to take Muskaan into the clinic room. Riddhima examines Muskaan and turns to the lady urgently.
Rid: She's going to deliver very soon … please aap help kijiye …

Lady: Maine kaha na … yahan par delivery ki facilities nahin hain …

Rid (losing her cool): listen, doctor, we don't have a choice … she's ready to deliver!!! Aapke paas kuch basic instruments hain na? Sterile? Aur ek warmer ya table lamp with a strong light? Baby premature hoga, use garam rakhna hoga … please … aur stethoscope … main heartbeat sunna chahti hun …

Lady: Aap ko jo bhi chahiye … aap dekh lijiye … lekin mere paas delivery ka samaan nahin hain … better hoga ki aap kahin aur chale jayen … meri pooja ka samay ho raha hai …

She points to the instruments sterilizer and the lamp and the other things Riddhima asks for and turns to leave. Riddhima stops her angrily.

Rid: Aapki pooja ka samay …!!! Kya aapko lagta hai ki aapki pooja phal layegi jab use karne ke liye aap aisi aurat ko chhod ke jaa rahi hain … jise aapki madad ki zaroorat hai? Us pooja se aapke bhagwan khush ho jayenge?

The lady turns around and gives Riddhima a long look. Her expression changes. She hesitates for a minute, then speaks in a slightly more friendly tone.
Lady: I'm sorry, Dr. Riddhima … aap theek keh rahi ho … dekhiye, mere paas really delivery ki facilities nahin hain … lekin haan, yeh hain sterile forceps aur scissors … aur yeh hain … drapes … gloves …
She pulls out a blanket and some towels and starts helping Riddhima more willingly. In the middle, a young boy comes in calling … mamma, papa wait kar rahe hain pooja ke liye …
She tells him : bol do mujhe thoda time lagega … pooja aadhe ghante baad hoye to koi problem nahin hogi … lekin yeh lady aadhe ghante nahin ruk sakti.

The little boy goes out. Riddhima looks gratefully at the doctor.
Muskaan gives another scream and both Riddhima and the other doctor rush to her …
At that moment, the lights go out. Inky blackness surrounds them all.

Muskaan screams again, this time with fear.
Mus: Ridzi!!!!
Rid (in a reassuring tone): Muskaan, main yahan hun … doctor, aapke paas candles ya emergency light …?
Doc: give me a minute …

She goes out. Riddhima holds Muskaan's hand as Muskaan's pain now reach their peak. Muskaan is sweating and screaming with each contraction, and the sound seems even louder in the dark. Riddhima looks desperately at the darkness of the doorway where the doctor has disappeared … is she going to come back, or has she deserted them for her pooja … and I can't even see anything, thinks Riddhima frantically, holding Muskaan's hand tightly through yet another contraction. It seems ages since the doctor disappeared through the shadowy doorway.

Then … they see a dim glow of light through the open doorway, bathing the the room in a pale golden glow …

… the glow grows stronger as the doctor comes back into the room. She is holding up a thali filled with lit Diwali diyas … behind her follow her husband and son, also holding thaalis filled with twinkling diyas. The orderly brings up the rear of the procession with an emergency light and more diyas.

As they enter, the sounds of crackers starts outside in joyous bursts, interspersed with the shouts of children laughing and shrieking with joy, as the street outside starts celebrating the festival of lights. The little clinic room glows warmly golden bright with the light from all the diyas, and the bright bursts from the anars outside.

The two men and the boy place their lights around the bed and leave. Riddhima and the doctor get ready. At the next contraction, Muskaan screams again … Riddhima holds herself ready … and the sound of the crackers outside is drowned by the screams of the newborn baby entering the world.

An hour later, when Armaan bursts into the room, Muskaan is resting peacefully with her new daughter beside her in a makeshift cot, and Riddhima, the doctor and her family are tucking into Diwali sweets by the light of what look like a hundred diyas, and talking and laughing as though they are best of friends.



For once – no suspense this weekend!!! - we end EDK on a happy note with the advent of Lakshmi into our blogworld – here's wishing all of you a very Happy Diwali and a wonderful New Year!!! - niha, navya, dia

We will not be able to post EDK next weekend as we are all busy with our personal engagements. We are hoping that it will be a good break for all of u from EDK cos its been a good 20 weeks now since we started! We wish all of u a very Happy and a Prosperous Diwali! Reached home in thoughts of Priyanka.The sms was still echoing in my mind.

"I dont have a boyfriend"..

What does this means..!

I mean why she had to tell me this..!

My heart was forcing me to think the obvious but mind was stopping from it.I was kind of sandwitched beween both of them.And as always happens..heart won..

Should I send the sms."Offcourse u should"
But then wont she think I m desperate.."No...She smsed u first right.."
Ya..but then.."Just do it..Be a man"

OK..went to "New Message" Link and typed "Hi..good to know that(that u dont have a boyfriend :-))..wass up.." and added Priyanka in recipient list..My heart was beating faster & faster when I was reaching for the OK button to send the message.It took lot of courage to decide and then I just went for it.Sent the message.After some time mobile beeped and gave the delivery report.."success".

Shit man..What will she think of me.."Nothing yar..u r a big darpok.."

I mean..why the hell I wrote so much..."its fine yar..just chill"

Between these thoughts my Parents called.

"Anjan..come for dinner.Its late"
I: OK ..2 mins.

Should I take the mobile with me.But then what if she didnt reply.I mean I will be waiting for her message only and wont be able to have dinner properly.OK..Better to leave the mobile here only so that I can check any messages later.Fine.Threw the mobile in bed and rushed for dinner.

But it didnt help.I completed the dinner as early as possible and rushed for my mobile to check the messages.There was a message from her.

"Yupppeeeeey" :-) :-) :-)

But my heart went to countless emotional rounds before opening it.The message said

"Thank God Anjan..atleast u replied.I thought ki aap bura man gaye..ki maine aapke mobile main bina puche number store kiya..but can u tell me..why u said its good to know that I dont have one..! Priyanka"

Now what should I do.Should I be happy that she accepted my message and aknowledged it or should I feel worried that she is reading between the lines and is actually reading me.

With mixed feelings.I replied back.And sms conversation started..

I: Thanks for the reply.I said as I believe that single's are more happier than couple's.
Priyanka: so it confirms that u r a single too.
I: Ya I told you last time also.So wass up.What plans for the weekend.
Priyanka: Its Ok.I can meet you.
I: What..! But I didnt ask you..I mean.I m sorry ..I would love to ask you..but..
Priyanka: :-)..So will you ask or..
I: (Oh God..)..OK..Can we meet at MG Road's CCD at 5 pm.!.Its fine if you have other plans.
Priyanka: I have work at home and need to be there by 6.But can meet meet you at 5.Done..!
I: Great..so thats a date..right..(did I pressed the button early..only GOD knows..)
(After 15 mins of deadly wait)

I didnt replied to that.But what the hell does this mean.."We are meeting as friends..".I mean why did she has to say this.Does this mean that she just wants to be a friend and nothing else.Or I m making assumptions bit too early.

Buddy just meet her tomorrow and then come to a conclusion.."But.."

Next day went entirely in chatting and watching movies at a friend's place.The clock clicked 4.30 pm

Took my R-15 and went straight to CCD on MG Road.It was around 5 kms from friend's home.With traffic,I somehow managed to reach in time.I rushed inside.Couldnt find her.I guess everyone know this.Girls just cant be in time.(Sorry..:-)).Took a place in corner and was waiting for her when a small pat made me look upward.It was her.

Just one word describes her.

"Beautiful".

Her eyes had all the magic of this world and could make just anyone fall for her.Her face had the decency which presents a true human being.She had mixed looks of traditional and modern cultures which adds to her simplest beauty.In Red Top and Blue Jeans..She looked fab.I mean..just simple and fab.

Priyanka: Hello..Itni bhi sunder nahi hoon main..
I:(ssh..) Oh ..I m sorry..I mean Hi..How r u..why dont u take seat.(stood up)

Priyanka: Acha yeh sab chodo..aur batao..

Then we kept talking for half an hour over all the things than can be discussed between two persons(I will not say friends as its still far) until someone came from somewhere and..

Someone:(In a serious tone) Priyanka..Tum to keh rahi thi ki tumhari class hai aur tum yahan..aur yeh kaun hai..tumhara naya boy friend..
Priyanka:(furiated) Ayan..just shut up OK..I think u better be out of this.
Ayan:(angrily) Out of what damad..You have ruined my life u..
I:Excuse me..Priyanka..do you know him..
Ayan: Yeh kya bolegi..
I: I am asking to her..Will you be quiet for a moment.(We looked at each other with bit furry..but then he didnt stop and went away)
Priyanka:(held her head)..Oh..God..
I: Priyanka..can you tell me whats going on..
Priyanka: Its nothing Anjan.
I: Ek ladka sabke samne aapko itna kuch bol gaya aur aap keh rahe hain.."Its nothing..".Its OK if you dont want to tell me..(got up and )

almost all the preparations of engagement had done,

riddhima ka sabse pehla aur sabse pyara unexpected surprise…..

ritu already gone asked riddhima to get to the venue by 4:00 o’clock….

4:00 o’clock

her car stopped in front of cruise liner, she was wearing coke colour saree with light work.. and a golden chain… overall she was looking very simple yet beautiful…

as soon as she stepped out of the car…….

a song start…….

AAIYE AAPKA INTEZAR THA, AAIYE AAPKA INTEZAR THA…

DER LAGI AANE MAI TUMKO, SHUKAR HAI PHIR BHI AAYE TO…

Riddhima looked down…. And was overwhelmed to see….

With red and white pearls, each word is made up of several little hearts, giving amazing look,

Riddhima stepped forward, her way was full of flowers, finally she stepped into cruise…

The whole cruise was decorated with small curtains made up of sparkling gems…

They are shimmering, giving the cruise a very beautiful look, at once riddhima closes her eyes due to the reflection of gems… she wants to call ritu but don’t have cell… so she proceeds towards door…

As soon as she opened the door lots of snowball, with glittering colourfull stars falls on her…. Followed by wavy trimmers making the moment more attractive…. That’s the way she was welcomed

She was again surprised wondering what’s happening….

As soon as she stepped in… all the lights get off… only one spot light in the hall that was following her, there was silence all over, ridhima got scared if she was in wrong place, she turned back…

Riddhima kaha ja rahi hai aap???? Aap bilkul sahi jagah aayi hai…

Riddhima again turned back hearing her name…

Voice: bas aap iss spot light ko follow kijiye aap sahi jagah pahunch jayengi…. Dariye mat…

(Riddhima first felt little nervous then starts moving down the stairs)

MERI SAASON KI JARURAT HO, (slightly bumping his head into hers so as to convey that she is the need of his breathes)

DILRUBA JAANEWAFA HO TUM…(coming in front of her)

MAI DIL KI BAAT BHALA KAISE KAHU, KAISE KAHUN... (holds her face, and kisses her forehead)

KITNI HASRAT HAI TUMHE DIL LAGANE KI…. (Took out the rose stick from his pocket and settle down on
his knees………)

A: riddhima will you marry me????? (offering her rose stick)

Riddhima was astounded, trying to believe on what is happening,

R: armaan ye sab… (he cuts in between)

A: riddhima will you marry me????? Answer me first

R: (takes the flower) yes, I’ll marry u…..

As soon as she says yes, all the lights get on, the hall filled with the sound of claps…

A: take her right hand and kisses it….

Riddhima was glad looking here and there, still trying to understand but not able to…. Before she cud ask anything to armaan , two people brought a very big cake…

AGAIN IT’S SO EYE-CATCHING, ACTUALLY THE CAKE WAS IN HEART SHAPE, TWO BEAUTIFUL RINGS WERE MADE ON CAKE WITH THE HELP OF ICING (CREAM), AND BETWEEN THOSE RINGS A RED ROSE AGAIN WITH ICING, GIVING THE CAKE AN EXTRA ORDINARY LOOK….. AND WITH DIFFERENT COLOURS IT’S WRITTEN……

TO RIDDHIMA,

FOR OUR PREMARRIAGE CEREMONY

Riddhima put both her hands on her face out of gladness, she was not able to utter a single word
Armaan was standing next to her, he can see and feel her happiness, her face was glowing with joy, she was over whelmed, everything was like a dream to her….

Armaan holds her from her waist from back, resting his head on her shoulder, slightly kissing her cheeks, whispers in her ears…

A: kaisa laga surprise????

R: (now completely understand that these all preparations was for her only, for their engagement ceremony) aisa lag raha hai jaise koi sapna dekh rahi hun… socha hi nahi tha ki mere liye koi ye sab bhi kar sakta hai….

A: tumhare liye nahi hamare liye…

R: (she turns around and kisses his forehead) I luv you armaan,

A: I luv u too…

Ritu: oh meri nanandji aur mere hone wale jeejaji, jara thoda lihaaj kijiye yahan aur bhi log hai…. aap apna romance shaadi ke baad bhi kar sakte hai….. (everybody starts laughing)

A: (riddhima blushing) to kya hua meri hone wali salaj ji, apni hone wali biwi se hi romance kar raha hun…

Ritu: agar aapka romance khatam ho gaya ho to plz… cake katiye, badi meherbani hogi aapki humpar… abhi aage ki rasmein bhi nibhani hai….

A: ji aapka kehna to taal hi nahi sakta na salaj ji….

Armaan still holding riddhima from back, ask riddhima to hold knife with him. Together cut the cake…. Riddhima pick up the piece of cake, turned back and ask him to open mouth…

Armaan with eyes ask her to eat from other side but she refused as if abhi nahi….

Armaan opens his mouth, she feed him and armaan back feed her from that piece…

Everyone congratulated armaan and riddhima…

Ritu: chalo riddhima ab tum andar jao taiyar hone, beautician wahi hogi wo tumhe taiyar kar degi….

Armaan doesn’t want to leave her and riddhima doesn’t want to go, but but…..

Riddhima and armaan both are in their rooms, getting ready …

riddhima had done with her make-up, now she had gone for changing lehnga….

In-between armaan enters into her room and ask beautician to leave…

Be: par mujhe unka duppatta set karna hai… saari jewellery..

A: (he cuts in between)wo mai kar dunga aap jaiye..

She leaves and armaan bolt the door of room from inside…

Riddhima came from changing room, she hadn’t noticed armaan, her back was facing armaan that was totally exposed to him as she was not able to make knot of dori of her cholli…. And her duppatta was lying on bed…

Armaan stepped forward… riddhima didn’t know about his presence yet her heart beat increased,….

Armaan very near to her, started making knot of her dori, as soon as he touched her, shiver produces in her whole body (she knew his touch, she can feel him, he’s armaan,my armaan, she mumbles), she closes her eyes as if lost, holds her lehnga tightly,
Deep in her heart she calls out ARMAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN……..

Armaan kisses her at back, she was trembling… but won’t able to say anything (jaise wo bol hi na sakti ho) totally lost, heartbeat out of control, wanted to stop this moment, to hold this moment, to stop the world….

Aaj uska pyar uske saath hai, usse aur kuch nahi chahiye, bas hamesha wo uske saath rahe, aise hi…. Yahin par saara sama tham jaye kaash…

She was just going crazy… she was so deep in her thoughts that she even don’t know when armaan had tied her duppatta, she was standing like a statue…

A: riddhima, (shakes her) riddhima kaha gum ho????

R: (cuming in present) armaann…. ( enfolding herself in his arms, slightly kissing his chest)

A: riddhima kya hua…

R: kuch nahi…again losted

A: tum ek min ruko mai jewellery lekar aata hun….

Armaan settled her on chair, and put bangles, necklace, earings, maang tikka, payal, rings on her and she was looking him with all the love in her eyes….

She doesn’t want to speak, actually she was short of words to express her feelings this time, and I luv you seemed to be too small to tell…

she was thinking that what she shud do, to express her feelings to him….

R: (taking out kaajal from her eyes, putting on his ears who was busy in putting maang teeka)

A: ye kiss liye????

R: darr lag raha hai ki kahi aaj meri naajar hi na tumko lag jaye… bahut kaam logon ki aisi kismat hoti haina jisse uska pyar khud aapne haathon se taiyar kare, ( today she was filled with pride… pride of luck, pride of love, pride of being with him…..)

A: (putting kaala teeka back on her ears..) aur tumhe jamane ki…. Aaj bahut sundar lag rahi ho…

R: sundar banane wale bhi to tum hi ho… mujhe saawarne wale bhi to tum hi ho…. Mujhe jamane ki naajar kaise lagegi tum ho na mera naajar pattu…. (smiles still looking

A: aaj bahut badli badli si baatein kar rahi ho…

R: tumhare pyar mai pagal jo ho gai hun…

Now Armaan was speechless…. They both were looking into each other eyes continuously…. As if they had a bet ( kiski palkein pehle jhukegi….) but both are not ready to break….

Her eyes were shining, armaan noticed that for the first time…. She was very very happy, her eyes were speaking..

After sumtime there is a knock at door, they came in present… armaan was going for opening the door, riddhima holds his hand…(she didn’t like interruption, she wanted to be all alone with him)

R: mat jao na armaan….

A: (again he was surprised, aaj riddhima ko ho kya gaya hai) riddhimaa…

Riddhima leaves his hand, he opened the door, ritu came in…

Ri: aap dono ka sagai karne ka iraada haina???? Ya seedha suhagraat ki preparation chal rahi hai……

Armaan: haan tum chalo hum aate hai…

everybody was ecstatic as the last member of the D DEVILZ left the dance floor.the bb's had their mouths wide open.n riza n rini being the real devilz they were,went upto micky n vicky,closing their wide mouths.

Scene:1-
---------ARMAAN-RIDHIMMA'S BEDROOM-----------------
Ridhimma reaches the room...opens the door....the room is filled with darkness....!!

Rid:Yahaan...yahaan itna andhera kyun hai...Armaan kahan reh gaya?

Just then the lights open and Ridhimma sees the room soo beautifully decorated.....The walls are decorated with flowers of different colours.....There are many heart shaped cushions on the bed of different colours.....The bed is fully decorated and looks like as if its a bedroom of newly wed couple...!!....There are Rose petals spread on the bed...!!!
Ridhimma on seeing this is really confused...!!??

Rid:Yeh...I think main kissi wrong room men agayi hoon!
As she turns she finds Armaan standing there smiling!

Arm:Kyun! kaisa laga surprise?

Rid:Surprise? yaani yeh sub tumne? Why?

Arm:Haan....yeh sub maine kiya...humare Second Suhaag Raat ke liye!! kaisa laga?

Rid:Armaan!(blushes) Iss ki kya zaroorat thi! aur tum iss age men bhi....

Arm:Kyun?(Tanvi narrates the whole story) Hmm...Toh Dr.Ranbir iss men app ki galti hai!

Tanvi:Hah! Dekha Rani maine kya kaha...M always rite u see..!!

Arm:Aur app ki bhi Dr.Tanvi...(Rex shows her a big grin!!) Apne mujhe batana tha,,,,,nake wire katni thi....ab Interns raat bht hogaye hai...behtar hoga ke aap sub apne rooms men ja kar so jayen...Gud Nite!

Tanvi:Lekin Sir.....

Arm:Hum iss bare men Kal baat karenge! So please....

Rex:Okay Sir...(they leave)

Arm:Yeh Interns bhi na...bilkul hum pe gaye hain..(smiles...and closes the door....but as he turns the bell again rings....)

Arm:(opens the door) oh ho ab kya hai(but its the waiter) Oh..Sorry...

Wait:Sir! Here's Ur Order...Beer and Glasses....!! Aur kissi cheez ki zaroorat ho toh pls just make a call...!!

ARm:Thnk U Waiter...!!(gives him tip!)

Nakkul unable to sleep is now walking towards the cafe....its almost midnight...He reaches the place...its deserted......

Nak:Hello....anybody thr!!(the manager comes)

Nak:Yeah...I wanted to have a coffee...
Manager:Oh m sorry Sir but abhi yahaan pe koi waiter available nhe hai...lekin u dont worry....humare hotel ke side men hi ek Club hai..wahaan cafe bhi hai...app wahaan ja sakte hain...It 24 hours open!
Nak:Oh Thnx!(the manager leaveS)

Nak:Kaisa hotel hai waiter bhi nhe hain! Well...I guess bahar hi coffee peene hogi...Coffee ki aadat hogye hai..Nhe peeta toh pata nhe kya hota hai!...

Nakkul walks out of the hotel......The moon is shining sooo brightly...the stars twinkling....The sky is looking sooo beautiful....the wind is blowing and is also cold...!!

Nak:WoW! I haven't seen such a wonderful sight in my entire life....!!

He sees a girl with her hair open...wearing a light blue kinda transparent saaree....looking terribly awesome....her hairs flying.....Nakkul looks at her and is totally lost....She has light green eyes....light make-up on her face....light pink lipstick....blue ear-rings....and is looking like a fairy to Nakkul's eyes...He moves forward...looks at her closely.....its non other then Reva!

Reva looks at him...blushes and moves forward...he follows her...she goes to an extremely beautiful area...its a beach....the water waves are slow......the sand is a bit hot....there is no body there....the moon is shining...the stars are twinkling....the wind is blowing which makes her hair fly...Nakkul goes to her....

Riza:No Its Okay...Main Anjali ke saath share kar longe...Tum Armaan ke saath raho okay!

Rid:Di ke saath! Nhe woh Atul jeejo ke saath honge!

The interns are in the lift discussing abt the rooms.......

Everybody stare them in shock!!

Reva:WHTEVER!! MUJHE BHT NEEND ARAHI HAI....Yawn!!! main toh sone jarahi hoon....Maya,Geet chalo!

Abhi:Gud Night Reva...Geet...Gud Nite Maya..(giving her a flying Kiss...Maya blushes and leaves)

Tanvi:(to Rani) Chalo abhi!

Saad:(pulling Ranbir) Chor usse...Kya karaha hai,,,Leave her...!!

The neighbours come out and see them fighting like this in the corridor..!!

Tanvi:Hmmpf...(takes the keys from Saad and goes in the room....Rex also goes in the other side of the room...leaving Saad and Rani alone...)

Saad:Yeh dono bhi na...

Rani:hmm...lekin pata nhe kyun...mujhe in dono ke jagre men bhi pyaar nazar ata hai...hana Saad...(turns around and finds Saad very close to her,,) Saad!

Saad:Shh....Aj tum bht khoobsurat lag rahe ho...(kisses her hairs..)

Rani(blushing)Kya baat hai...aj bara pyaar araha hai..!!

Saad kisses her on her lips...and She also responds with full passion.....They are soo close to each other tht they look like one body...Saad kisses her shoulder...neck and then again lips...This goes on for a while.....

They are soo lost in each other....Tht they even dunno they have commited a BIG mistake!! The mistake which can be very costly!!!!
Rani comes back from his world and pushes Saad back......and runs into the room.....
Saad smiles and goes into the room........

Scene:4-
------------ANJALI-RIZA---------
Anjali is lying on the bed...watching tv...while Riza after taking the bath is blow-drying her hairs....
Riza:So..Anjy...can I ask u a question...If u dont mind..!!

Anjy:Offcourse...Pocho na...

Riza:Tumhein...I mean tumhara aur Atul ka divorce...I mean wht was the reason? Atul toh tumse bht pyaar karta tha na? so kya baat hogayi jo tumhein itna bara kadam uthana para?

Anjy:Riza...I know ke tum Atul ki bht achi friend ho lekin meri tum itni close nhe ho..so M sorry..main tumhein kuch nhe batana chahti! Yawn! Please xcuse me(switches off the tv) I gotta sleep!

Riza:Its okay Anjy I......(but Anjy is already slept) Yeh Anjali kitni rude hai(talking with herself) Maine toh socha tha ke kuch pata chale ga inke bare men....toh koi aur acha sa plan banaongi in dono ko milwaane ka...O God...ab lagta hai mujhe khud se hi kuch karna hoga...cos Atul men toh koi haal nhe! hmm.....!!(smiles to herself!)

Scene:5-
----------SAAD-RANI-TANVI-REX---------
Tanvi is in the bathroom having Bath while Rani is lying on the bed.......thinking of wht happend!!

Ranni:(to herself) Yeh humne kya kiya! hum..itne kho gaye ke yeh sub....agar kuch hogaya to...main mom ko kya mooh dikhaon gi....aur agar Saad ne mujhe chor diya toh...No..No...he wont do such a thing...BUt agar usne.........? Nhe...He loves me...woh mere saath aisa nhe karega!

Tanvi:(comes out of the bathroom) Kise baat karahe hai?

Rani:(wipes her tears stands up) Kissi se nhe...!

Tanvi:Arey yeh kya tu ro rahe thi?

Rani:Nhe toh...woh bas unhi...mom ki yaad agayi thi!

Tanvi:haan yaar,,,,ab humein chuti bhi bht kam milti hai....anyways dont cry baby(hugs her) u are a grown up gal...ab chal so ja...kal subha phir jaldi uthna haina.....!!...Okay jaan...Yawnnnnn!! Mujhe toh bht neend arahi hai....

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR.......
Saad is also thinking abt Rani...Is a bit tensed....of wht happened between them....Rex is watching offcourse Cricket Match Between AUSTRALIA AND INDIA!!

Rex:HEY.....KYA SHOT MARA HAI....SIMPLY AMAZING...(hits Saad with a pillow) Abey tune dekha?

Saad:(comes bck) h-huh...haan...(now gets normal) kya score hai?

Rex:119-2! Yaar tujhe lagta hai India jeete ga?

Saad:Hmm...well Aussies ki batting line up bht strong hai...and bowlers are gr8...lets see wht happens,,,,,,,

Just then Sachin hits a six...!!

Rex:SIXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(SHOUTS) WOW!!!

And on the other side Tanvi and Rani who are trying to sleep get disturbed!!

Tanvi:(shouts!!!!!) RANBIRRRRRR!!!!!!!! CHEEKHO MAT HUM SOOO RAHE HAIN!!!!!

ON THE OTHER SIDE.....
Rex doesnt hears this and is sooo engrossed in Cricket.....shouts again as Yuvraj hits a four!

Rex:(shouts even louder) WOW!!! FOUR!!! KYA SHOT THA....SUPERB!!!!! YUVI U ROCK!!!

Tanvi gets really disturbed.....gets up....

Rani:Tanvi ruko!

Tanvi knocks at the door...but nobody opens it...again knocks...but hears another shout....Its again Rex shouting FOUR!!...This makes her really mad.....and she starts banging on the door!!

Rex:(gets annoyed..opens the door) Kya hai!! Darwaze ko kyun mar rahi ho?

Tanvi:U!! tumhein ek baar men samajh nhe aata!! main yahaan sone ki koshish karahi hoon...aur tum wahaan cheekhen maar rahe ho!!

Rex:Thts the spirit of Cricket Babes!!

Tanvi:Shut Up!! aur haan ab apna aur Tv ka volume kam karo warna main Armaan Sir ko complain kardongi!!

Rex:"ARMAAN SIR KO COMPLAIN KARDONGI!!" Oh...M shooo scared...Jake karo complain main kiisi se nhe darta....not even Armaan Sir!! hmmpf!

Just then in the tv the commentator says:"Oh he has got him...Sachin Tendulkar has been Clean Bowled by Brett Lee..Brett Lee very happy on his bowling..."

Rex:Oh God!! OUT HOGAYA!....dekha tumhare manhoos kadam pare nhe ke bechaara Sachin Tendulkar out hogaya!! ..U...main tumhein baad men dekh longa!! Bye...(slams the door at her)

Tanvi:RANBIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Starts banging at the door again)

ReX increases the volume...!!

Rani:(comes to Tanvi) Choro na! tum so jao...thori der volume zyada hoga...agar tum bar bar bolo gi toh woh jaan booch ke tumhein aur tang kare ga....chalo..(makes her sit on the bed...) Tum so jao! okay...gud nite!

Tanvi hardly tries to sleep!! but hear another shout...its offcourse Ranbir...SIX!!! OH NO....CATCH HOGAYA....NHE USNE DROP KAR DIYA....Saad:Haan...kya shot tha,....Ranbir: Waqai...Wow...another gr8 shot....Saad:Score bhi 200 tak pohanch gaya hai!! Ranbir:I think India will win....Saad:Hmm...lets see....abhi 5 overs hain!! Ranbir:WoW...Sourav ne ek aur Six maara!!
Tanvi gets really mad!! She takes out a scissor from her bag and starts banging at the door!!
Rex opens the door.........

Rex:Kya hai!! yaar tum ladkiyaan kitni bore ho....humein thheek se kyun nhe dekhne nhe derahe...(but Tanvi doesnt listens to him and goes to the tv Rack and finds the tv plug...and is abt to cut it with scissor when....)

Rex:TANVI........YEH KYA KARAHI HO......!!!!!!!!!!!!(runs towards her and hits his leg onto the sofa and falls on Tanvi...They both get lost in each other's eyes...just like Amy-Ridz......Saad stands their staring at Rani...)

PEHLI NAZAR MEIN...KAISA JAADO KAR DIYA.....
TERA BAN BHETHA HAI MERA JIYA.....

Rahul: armaan uhto humhe isse hospital le Jana hoga armaan pls utho armaan

Armaan ws in shock not saying anything and just looking at her

Rahul: just pull his collar armaaaaaaaaaan tumhe sunai nahi de raha utho Hume Jana hai and jus pushing him aside hold ridhima in his arms and put into the car armaan ws dumstuck to that palce still lokking at ridhima

for god grace rohit also come there

rahul: rohit tum yaha ho pls baki sabko us gadi main leaao mujhe nahi lagta armaan abhi drve kar sakta hai

rohit: ws al in shock bt said yes
muski atul rohit in one car and armaan anjie rahul,ridhima in the other
